In this week’s sermon text, Mark tells the story of a desperate man named Bartimaeus—a blind beggar who calls out to Jesus. We can learn a lot from this story about how Jesus sees people, especially those with disabilities. But in this simply healing story, there is also good news for all who find themselves in desperate places.
